the little guy

He’s been called Butterball, The Little Guy, Hiya Guya, Buddy and more formally Aris T’cat. He came to stay with me for a month which I dubbed Summer Camp, and after many photo-postcards later his dad arrived today to pick him up. After all, school will be starting soon.

This was all a big test run for me, to see if I’m ready for other pets, pets that come after The Twins™. And I don’t think I am, just yet. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with Aris and he is such a sweet, affectionate kitty which is great because that’s the way The Twins were. It brought me no small pleasure to be able to scoop Aris up and hold him like a baby, as I did with The Twins, and scratch his underside. He’d sleep with me and greet me in the morning, which is what I like.

I wasn’t sure how I was going to handle his departure but I think I made it thru okay. There were no tears (which i feared would happen) but instead a sense of saying so long to a friend and I’ll see you soon.
