• I am the oldest of my peer group yet have the least
• I used to believe the pop songs were true
• I have never been in love
• I frequently incorporate song lyrics into everyday conversations
• I used to look forward to the first day of school
• I am nothing because I don’t have a family of my own
• I placed third in my 5th grade spelling bee
• I have once dated a millionaire
• I want so badly to believe that there is truth, that love is real
I pick “am nothing” because you do have a family. You have your dad and your brothers for biological reference and you have friends who love you. Just because it isn’t the whole “traditional” family doesn’t mean you don’t have people who love you and to whom you return that love. You’re not nothing.
