I’m starting to discover that I know four types of people: bloggers, Twitterers, Facebookers and… what is the other type… oh that’s right, real people. Sometimes these groups overlap.
I’ve noticed a drop in volume of email from friends (and even texts, for that matter), presumably because they can go to Facebook and check everyone’s mini-blog all in one sitting. If they need to inform me of something, they will write it on my wall or send a message through Facebook instead of opening their email app and sending it that way. I’m also aware that I will check blogger friends’ blogs less often, because I feel I’m getting updated through FB or Twitter. I fear all electronic will come through FB in the next five years. I’m secretly hoping it’s a phase. Playing Scrabble on it is fun, though.
It’s 8:44 and raining, we’re getting the outward flings from some hurricane that is hitting the Carolinas. I’ve already checked my FB updates and sent a tweet or two this morning. I haven’t sent any emails, although I’ve deleted some junk ones.
